Coca-Cola Recognises and Rewards Talented Teens
Coca-Cola HBC Northern Ireland continued to support talented teens in Lisburn via the Lord Mayor’s Bursary Scheme.
This initiative recognises the talents of young people from the Lisburn area who are involved in art, sport and community service. Selected applicants receive a one off donation to financially assist them in progressing with their chosen pastime for the year.
Speaking at the award ceremony, the Mayor of Lisburn, Councillor Allan Ewart said, “I am delighted that Coca-Cola continues to support the young people of Lisburn through this bursary award scheme. This is an important scheme which supports young people and encourages them to pursue their talents in the areas of arts, sport and community service.”
This year, eight talented young people were chosen for their commitment to a broad range of activities including rifle shooting, badminton, harp playing and drama studies.
The long-standing scheme, which has been running in partnership with Lisburn City Council for the past 11 years, has helped support the development of over 100 young people in the city.
